Burnt Orange and Fucshia Bursting with Gold…

Hello all….

I am working with a fabulous couple who have chosen a fun and vibrant color scheme – Burnt Orange and Fuchsia with Gold accents.  After working with these colors for months now, all I can say is how AWESOME! Check out some photos we have collected as “inspiration” for their October wedding.  Their wedding theme is “Vintage Glam”. The Vintage theme is very popular right now with details of dangling jewelry, gold accents, and tall centerpieces. Shannon and Jay will have Fuchsia as their main color with the Burnt Orange adding another layer.  All of the candles, candelabras, and charger plates will be gold.  The invitations even have very scriptive calligraphy accented with gold brush strokes to add to the grandeur of their theme.  Check back soon for actual pictures of their fabulous wedding!!! :o )

Until next time…

Fake Wedding Cake?

Hello Everyone! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend. What beautiful weather! :o )

OK, I stumbled upon a new trend. I must admit this is not my recommendation for every bride. However, if you are a bride on a budget, this may be an option for a 4-tier adorned wedding cake that costs approximately $900. The new rave is a fake wedding cake.

You can order a beautifully decorated “fake” wedding cake. The inside is made of styrofoam, but the outside is decorated with real icing and details.  This cake would sit on display at your reception just as your real cake would.  Now, you would also purchase a sheet cake from your local baker, grocery store, Costco, etc. and have the caterer precut it in the kitchen.  The fake cake would be delivered to you and costs approx. $250+.  The price varies depending upon the level of details, if you had a real top layer to cut, etc.  Sheet cakes cost approx. $100+.

Welcome to TreBella Events’ Blog!

Hello World!  TreBella Events has finally joined the blogging community.  How exciting!  Blogging is such a fun and personal way of communicating.  I could not-not be a part of it.  So here we go!

TreBella Events’ blogs will be a place to come for new ideas, design trends, etiquette advice, tables-capes, and so much more.  You will also see updated pictures from the Web site’s Gallery page.  The blog will provide more details such as vendors used and the thoughts behind the design concepts.   I hope that you enjoy the posts.

In my first post I had to share a venue that I visited for the first time – The Spirit of Baltimore Cruise Ship.

I am a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC).

“ABC is  the oldest and largest organization exclusively serving wedding professionals, and we have been training wedding coordinators since 1955.” www.bridalassn.com

ABC holds quarterly meetings at different venues for the planners to visit and experience different/new locales.  The Summer Quarterly Dinner Meeting of the Maryland Chapter was held on this cruise ship.

Just to give you some insight on a trend, some brides are opting for an intimate wedding that includes 20-40 people.    A private ceremony would be held on the top deck dockside with the  captain  dressed in his formal white uniform and serving as the officiant.  The ceremony would last for approx. 20 min.  The wedding reception would continue on the dining deck with the wedding cake, champagne toasts, etc. included.

Please note, there are Spirit Cruise ships in Washington DC.  Visit the www.spiritcruises.com website for more information.

There are similar ceremonies available on Charters in Annapolis, MD. www.watermarkcruises.comcake_melpicture-36

Until we speak again…
