Umbrella Anyone?
Good day… So, here is another “dyfferent” (different) idea for you.
) How about using vintage umbrellas to add to your bridal/bridesmaids look? Bella Umbrella offers a vast selection of vintage, plain, pagoda, etc. umbrellas for rent or sale. Check out a few pictures from their gallery to show how some of their clients used their unique umbrellas.

As you can see, there are many ways to the umbrella. It can add a touch of color, texture, and functionally-shade.
A less expensive option maybe to purchase paper parasols. Luna Bazzar offers wide variety of colors and patterns in their paper parasol collection. If you purchase in bulk, you can save money.

Good luck!!!

Hello all…. So have you been thinking about your wedding day transportation? Do you prefer a limo sedan or a horse drawn carriage? Are you a Rolls Royce girl or a Jaguar girl? With budgets being trimmed, sometimes transportation is put at the bottom of the list. You can still focus on a jazzy getaway alternative for you and your groom. Check out a few below from our local vendors

Legacy Limo - Horse Drawn Carriage

Southern Maryland brides have alot of resources at hand to make your getaway really unique. Check out a few ideas from “The Knot” that fit the Southern Maryland Culture.
1. Antique Truck – Ask a family member or friend if you can use their antique truck. Shine it up and add a beautiful bow or wreath for decoration.

2. Antique Car - The same goes for an antique/vintage car. Clean it up and add some decorations and signage to celebrate your union!
)

3. Boat – If your wedding has a waterfront view, use the river or bay as an unique getaway or arrival showstopper!!! Your guys can even enter the wedding scene on a boat like James Bond “007″. It will make him feel like a star.
)

Enjoy….

No commentsTwo Dresses – Ceremony & Reception…$$$
Hello all… I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! I recently came across an interesting article in “Brides – Maryland”magazine. It shows you how to change your look from the ceremony to the reception. Some Brides are opting to buy two different dresses which changes their look completely. If you can’t afford to purchase two different dresses or just want to wear your wedding dress throughout your whole day, simply change your accessories. Below are a few ideas:
- Take off the veil and add a crystal headband
- Change your ivory/white bridal shoes to a bold color to match your Bridesmaids’ dresses
- Add a colorful sash or brooche to your dress
- Add bigger, bolder, colorful jewelry

I think a bride’s hair tells just as much about her personal style as does her wedding dress. A delicate up-do or curls that gently frame the face exposes the inner most beauty of a blushing bride. It is the finishing touch to a masterpiece! Are you excited about your hair style for your big day? Check out some looks from an inspiration board below.

No commentsRaise the Cake!
Good day to you all… Ok, so what does, “Raise the Cake” mean? Raise the Cake is a company that designs cake stands for your wedding cake.

Many brides are opting to have smaller wedding cakes on display to cut. They also have a large sheet cake in the kitchen for their caterer to cut, plate, and serve to their guests. This is a way to save on the cost of buying a large tiered wedding cake with all the bells and whistles. This is a great idea used by many brides today. However, this does leave you with a relatively small cake that is displayed. A way to make your cake look bigger and add some pizzaz to the cake table is to have a cake stand designed that matches/accents your colors and even has a little bling on it. Check out a few pics from the Raise the Cake website.

Enjoy…
