Hello there… So the DC Chapter hosted a Launch Party for Wish Upon A Wedding this past Sunday.  So many guests, wedding professionals, and friends attended this event to celebrate and learn about this wonderful organization.  

“As the World’s first nonprofit wedding wish granting organization, Wish Upon a Wedding provides weddings at destinations across the United States for individuals facing life-threatening illness.  It is a chance for couples to enjoy a very special day, without any thoughts of existing health issues, while surrounded by their closest family and friends.”  (www.wishuponawedding.org)

So many vendors donated their services and talents to make this event come to life.  Enjoy a few photos!!!

Lighting was provided by Da Vinci’s Florist located in Silver Spring, MD.

 This floral arrangment was designed by Intrigue Design & Decor located in Annapolis, MD.

Stationery was provided by Carla David Designs located in Fulton, MD.

The “Sugar Rush” station was the highlight of the event.  Many planners donated colorful candy to fill the vases.  Several bakers shared their talents and showcased skills with the beautiful and tasty treats.  Bakers that donated to the Sugar Rush table are noted as follows:

Linen rentals were provided by Rentals to Remember of Annapolis, MD. 

Other local vendors who donated products and services were JP Ink of Sunderland,MD, Hilton Garden Inn of Solomons Island, MD, and Jax Photography of Chesapeake Beach, MD.  It was so wonderful to raise awarness and assist in making others happy.

Hello to everyone!!!  Last year, the popular phrase that a lot of Brides used was “Wow Factor”.  Our clients would say, “I want to have the wow factor at my wedding with lots of  glitz and glamor.”  This translates to jewelry – crystals, pearls, diamonds.”  There are many ways to bring in the wow factor at a wedding.  Let’s not forget the Bride’s bouquet.

That is one way to add a special touch and not break the bank.   You can add crystal picks in various shapes and colors or you can have your florist add diamonds or pearls to the centers of your flowers. Just the smallest amount of jewels really add to the final look of the bouquet.

Hello everyone… We are working with a new couple on an “Eco – Chíc” themed wedding.  I know, I know.  What exactly is that? lol  “Eco” is for the environmentally conscious aspect of the wedding.  The wedding will be held at the Proximity Hotel located in Greensboro, NC.  The Proximity Hotel has been recognized as the “Greenest Hotel in America”, the first LEED Platinum certified hotel in the country.

“Chíc’ is easy.  The hotel is very modern, contemporary, and classy all at the same time.  We will incorporate beautiful shades of pink to keep the decor light and airy and accent it with chocolate brown.  Yum!  We are so excited!

Good morning!    A few weeks ago, we featured “Wish Upon a Wedding”on our blog.  This service organization is America’s ORIGINAL wedding wish granting organization and  grants weddings & civil union ceremonies at destinations across the US to couples facing life-threatening medical conditions, celebrating the courage & spirit of these couples.  There are chapters popping up across the US to facilitate this worthy cause.  The Washington DC Chapter is hosting its’ Launch Party at the end of the month.  Please see the invitation below for details. 

You may ask, “How can I help?”.  This organization needs donations in the form of money to purchase items, decorations, etc.  Professionals in the the wedding industry, including TreBella Events, have offered their time and resources to assist with ceremonies as they arise in local areas.

Hello all.. The smart and economical way to dress your tables is to rent the linens.  If you want to add some pizazz to the table decor, consider buying a few table runners.  The runners can accent tables throughout the reception area and/or be used on the satellite tables (Gift, Sign-in, Cake, etc.)  You would only need to buy a few of these to add to the overall design theme.  To get good use out of money spent on these items, pull them out at Christmas or Thanksgiving and use them to decorate the tables for your family and friends.
