I am sure you have been researching the new trends and colors for the year.  A color that speaks to us for the new year is “Cobalt Blue”.  The Dessy Group, leading manufacturer of bridesmaid’s dresses and bridal apparel, calls it “Electric Blue”.  I love that name for this color, because I feel as though it is electrifying.  This color is so vibrant that it seems to jump off the page.  Below we show “Electric Blue” paired with a beautiful orange.  This color combination is a winner!

Hello all… When selecting colors for their wedding, many brides try to “match” certain colors together.  One easy color scheme that has a major impact is called the “Monochromatic” color scheme.  What does that mean?  Having a monochromatic color scheme would be the use of various tints, shades, and hues of one single color.

 

This picture depicts the various shades of one color red.  Creating a wedding color scheme of this sort creates drama and can give the room a wow factor.  Lighting plays an important role in this type of design.  Up-lighting around the room has a large impact.  Please view examples of different Monochromatic designs below.

Here is a really fun color scheme that plays nicely with the Christmas color scheme – ice blue, burgandy, with a hint of black.  You can add either gold or silver to this combiniation to add some shimmer and sparkle .

 The invitation is your guests first glimpse at what’s to come for your wedding.  When I see these colors on an invitation, I anticipate a different and unique wedding experience.

 

The orange color really pops against the black and stands out as a vibrant accent color in the flowers and attire.

The decor is where you can really have a lot of fun with varying shades of orange.  This will add depth and dimension to your design making it more pleasing to the eye.

 

And we can’t forget a nice cocktail to end the evening!
