Hello all! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of delicious food, wonderful company, and lots of fun. For those of you who are planning your wedding, now is the time to look at the decorations for your 2011 Winter Wedding. Many venues have already decorated for the Christmas season. Yes, decor does change from year to year in venues. However, researching venues now will give you an idea of how that particular venue decorates for the holiday. You can get a sense of where they place their large Christmas tree; how they decorate their fire place mantels; how they decorate the entrance of the location; etc. Keep this in mind for planning your winter soiree. The venue’s decorations can be a tremendous accent/addition to your design scheme. You can save by not having to decorate the space as much. Or it can be a huge hindrance, if the venue’s Christmas color scheme does not match your wedding colors.
Here is a really fun color scheme that plays nicely with the Christmas color scheme – ice blue, burgandy, with a hint of black. You can add either gold or silver to this combiniation to add some shimmer and sparkle .
