Hello all.. Brides are always looking for ways to make their wedding day fun and unique.  They want to inject that different design aspect to their decor.  One table design that is becoming very popular is using long table arrangements in the reception table design instead of all 5′ or 6′ round tables.  Using this type of table allows you to do different things with your tablescape.  (more…)

Hello everyone…. Adding details to a wedding or event is what sets it apart and makes it special.  A really special detail is signage.  I came across a vendor who creates  cottage vintage style signs – The Family Attic Shoppe.  This family run business has been making these signs for decades.  Each sign is unique.  They can be used in your wedding to add that special touch and detailing that is an unexpected pleasure for your guests.

Detail #1:  Welcome your guests with a beautiful sign.

Detail #2: If your wedding and reception is at the same venue, provide signage to show where each part of the wedding is being held.  This style lends itself to beach weddings, Private home/tented weddings, country chic/farm/barn weddings, and weddings held at vineyards/wineries.

Detail #3:  Have the Ring Bearer carry this sign before you walk down the aisle.  How cute would it be to have him say the words “Here comes the Bride!!!”.

Detail #4:  Take a photograph with the “Thank You” sign and use it as your thank you cards after the wedding.

Detail #5:  Take a photograph with the “Just Married” sign to remember your big finale.

Happy Monday! The is a cute little guy between the ages of four to seven who carries the wedding ring(s) in the processional.  The pillow is normally white and the rings are metal or foil copies.  The Best Man and Maid of Honor hold the real rings.  With that, why not add some pizzazz or an touch to what the Ring Bearer carries?   You have worked really hard to add that special touch to every aspect of your wedding, let’s do the same for the Ring Bearer.  Below are a few really cute and ideas:

    1. Robin’s Egg Nest -  Garden Side Studio is a designer on Etsy that offers a Robin’s Egg Nest that would be a perfect accessory for your Ring Bearer.  The ribbons and eggs come in different colors to match your wedding theme.

    1. Ring Bearer’s Bowls – Paloma’s Nest offers a beautifully made small ceramic bowl for the Ring Bearer to carry.  It can be engraved with a special saying and used later on to hold jewelry or as a keepsake.

  1. Ring Bearer Pillow – Your floral designer can make a pillow shape out of flowers and adorn it with a ribbon to put a spin on the traditional Ring Bearer Pillow.

Enjoy!!!

Hello everyone… Oftentimes wedding design concepts are centered around the reception.  Understandably so, as your guests spend most of their time at the reception.  This blog entry, however, is dedicated to the ceremony decor.  The ceremony is the most important part of your wedding.  This is the part of your day when you seal your sacred vow with your loved one and unite in holy matrimony.  If your ceremony is held in a church, there may not be much need for elaborate decor as many churches are beautifully adorned already.  If you do need to spruce up your ceremony, a key element to dress up is your aisle!  The aisle leads you and the guests to the alter and is the main pathway at the ceremony.  Here are a  few ideas to dress it up:

Accent the aisle with an unique lighting design.

Hang miniature lanterns on the center aisle chairs.

Place simple flower arrangements down the aisle.

Have your florist or designer create a neat pattern of roses down the center aisle.

Well hello to all of you.  I hope that everyone is enjoying this beautiful day and planning for the Easter bunny on Sunday. :o ) Here is a bit of inspiration for the day – “Modern Green”.  I came across this inspiration board and fell in love with it.  The colors - black and white create a very modern and contemporary mix with green as the splash of vibrant color!  This is a creative spin on a summer wedding.  I know we all like for our weddings and events to be special with a unique touch.

Enjoy and be inspired!!!
