Hello all! Last Wednesday, November 17, 2010, the MD/DC Chapter of Wish Upon a Wedding hosted it’s first annual gala to raise money for the organization.
“Wish Upon a Wedding is the world’s first nonprofit wish granting organization providing weddings and vow renewals for couples facing terminal illness and serious life-altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation. Often, couples facing such situations do not have the energy, time, money, or resources needed to plan their wedding. The organization takes care of all the details, offering couples a chance to relax and enjoy a very special day while surrounded by the love of their closest family and friends.” (www.wishuponawedding.org)
The gala was held at the historic Tremont Grande located in Baltimore Maryland. The night was filled with delicious food, fabulous entertainment, delightful dance performances and a wonderful silent auction.
The night began with guests feasting on delicious cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres while bidding on spectacular products and services at the silent auction.
Upon the end of the Silent Auction, guests were invited to the main ballroom for dinner. They were wowed by the grandeur of this historic venue’s architectural details and features and beautiful centerpieces.
One of the highlights of the evening was a live performance by the talented saxophonist, Art Sherrod Jr.
Many of our vendors donated their time, talents, and services to make this event successful. A huge thank you to Jax Photography for supporting this organization and taking such beautiful and inspiring photos of the event.
It is not too late for you to support the organization. There is a live silent auction featured on the website for brides and grooms to bid on items and services for their weddings. All monies go towards granting wedding wishes for others in need.
In service,
