Real Wedding…| Onikika + Sean

Hello all,

Please welcome Onikika and Sean Hines!  I began working with Onikika a year ago on plans for her big day.  Her main focus was , “Anything unique and different!” In the spirit of unique and different, the guests were asked to wear all white and the bride wore a stunning pink wedding gown with beading. Onikika loves the vintage look.   So, we knew that Newton White Mansion located in Mitchellville, MD would be the perfect fit.  It is a stately mansion with such a romantic feel.  Onikika selected the colors soft pink, lime green, and gold. These are perfect colors for summer.  We added lots of candlelight and vintage lanterns to complete the decor. uests enjoyed cocktails in the grand dining room.  They were then welcomed  ballroom for dinner and dancing.

Thank you Lance, with Lance Rothwell Photography for these beautiful photographs that captured the love of this beautiful day.

Congratulations to Onikika and Sean!  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your fabulous day!

Before the wedding ceremony began, the photographer captured special moments of prayer that the Pastor held with the bride and groom.

Onikika’s sons escorted her partially down the aisle to her uncle, who lovingly stood in for her deceased father.  He completed the walk to her groom.

Onikika and Sean decided to partake in a Unity Cross ceremony.  This verbiage is taken from the Unity Cross Website and explains the purpose of the ceremony.

“The Unity Cross is a multi-piece sculpture that is assembled during the Unity Service of your Wedding Ceremony representing how the -Two become One. The Groom places the outer Cross in the beautiful wood base as the Pastor explains how God created man- Bold, Strong, the Defender of the Family yet how he is empty and incomplete without the woman. The Bride then places the more delicate cross inside of the Grooms cross as the Pastor explains how God created Woman- Delicate, multi-faceted, taking care of all of the little things that completes the man, and the -Two become One. The Bride and Groom then use the 3 golden pegs to lock the union(cross) together in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit as the pastor exclaims that: What God has brought together let no man take apart.”
